7 Best Reasons you MUST go see the San Diego Air & Space Museum

Some lists work out nicely to 7, some I have to stretch a bit, but I could easily make this one a two-parter, but I’m a bit of an aero nerd, so I’ll try to keep it brief.

Watch the Video

1. Lifelike reproductions and recreations of legends like Charles Lindburgh.
2. An actual Apollo 9 command module. There are so few of these things in existence. Pardon me for lingering, but it’s just that historic.
3. Tons of WW1 and WW2 aircraft hanging from the ceiling with detailed descriptions of each. There’s a bunch to see, but ten times as much to read.
4. A replica lighthouse with Fluorescent lightbulbs.
5. Actual aircraft kids can sit in and check out.
6. A full-scale air traffic control tower, where kids can see what it really looks like being in charge.
7. A great atrium to take a seat, enjoy some filtered in sunlight, and… oh who am I kidding, go back outside and look at the retired SR-71. That thing broke every record an air-breathing plane ever could!
