Balboa Park in San Diego has some of the most fun, interesting museums you could hope to find. One of the smaller gems we discovered was the San Diego Automotive Museum, which is down the hill from a lot of the bigger ones, but there’s a shuttle to get you there and back, and it was awfully fun.
Most of the exhibits are under a single roof, but they have some of the most iconic cars you’ve ever seen, as well as some you literally can’t see anywhere else.
The best way to enjoy the car museum is to be a fan of cars, and also have the multi-day museum pass. It gets you into all the attractions at Balboa Park and it’s just a mad bit of fun all around. By far the best bang for the buck.
