A quick walk along Hollywood Boulevard (the gritty city) 4k/UHD

Hollywood is a crazy place, from all the museums to the street performers, to all the live shows you might just get to watch filmed live. We’d love to go to Universal Studios, but it’s a bit out of budget for us, so we love to do stuff that’s a bit more real and down to earth.

You can waltz the boulevard for free, so here’s the good and the bad.

The Good

  • Good food at reasonable prices, and pretty much anything you can think of.
  • A ton of woefully overpriced museums, though there are some good ones in the mix.
  • Endless options for Star Tours. Hope in an open-top van and drive around to see where the rich and famous actually live.
  • Street performers.
  • Street vendors of nearly every variety.
  • Shops full of Hollywood memorabilia.
  • The Bad

  • The homeless and drug-addicted elements can be a bit overbearing at times.
  • The guys trying to “give you” their CDs for a massive “donation” are everywhere and unrelenting.
  • Parking is just a mess. Plan on circling for days or paying a good $20 bucks.
  • The shops selling souvenirs are literally all… the… same. If you don’t find what you want in the first couple shops, it doesn’t exist. Would be nice to get a bit more variety, but there you go.

    1. Not a super fair video. There’s a lot of stuff not included like the nicer storefronts and the hot people. The people watching is half the fun man, come on!?!
