Bear in mind, we’ve only seen about a dozen courses from Seattle to Puerto Rico, and we can say with confidence, these are easily the most awesome greens we’ve ever played.
Putting together an awesome 18-hole course is pretty darn tricky, but Wahooz did it… twice.
Forget “best in Idaho” or “best in the northwest”, this is simply the best one we’ve ever played.
They put together two killer outdoor courses with water hazards, lumps, bumps, distractions and a fire-breathing Tiki head if you hit a hole in one on the 18th… I mean, come on, that’s pretty awesome.
The courses flow naturally and are impeccably maintained. There was an ounce of confusion in the middle where our 3-year-old decided it was time to jump courses and head off on the second course, but we reigned him in quickly.
The holes play pretty quickly, and have really great decorations (see our photos) and because of all the other attractions around, you don’t have other people nipping at your heels to play through.
I haven’t been paid to say this (though I wish I was) this is the best course I’ve played in my entire ten-year career working as a travel writer. I don’t know what they paid for it, but it was worth it, because it’s amazing.
You can come to Wahooz strictly to play golf with those custom golf balls, strictly to go Karting, or buy a whole day or more in a package. If you like fun, go for the package, but if you’re just a golfer looking to sharpen the short game, check it out, because it’s fun, challenging and well worth your time.
Max played one hole magnificently. We’re pretty sure it was a Par-30 hole, and he hit it about 2-strokes under par.
