BodyWorlds museum in Amsterdam… morbid, but fascinating

The human anatomy is a curious thing. There are a number of touring “Human Bodies” exhibits you can see, but none are quite like the one Amsterdam. It’s the first of its kind, the best value, and it’s just plain the best.

You can get discount tickets at a number of places nearby, but the lowest price is for off-peak hours. You really want to get these, and not just because it’s slightly cheaper than the slightly discounted rate, but because there will be little to no lines, which right there is well worth it.

Go early or go late, but you just have to go.

There are fascinating exhibits of a wide variety. Some show what surgical implants like knee or hip replacements look like, but all of them are just so curious and bizarre.

This was easily one of the most memorable museums I’ve ever been to, in Amsterdam or otherwise.

  1. Camera work is a bit lacking, but the museum isn’t. Didn’t get the discount tickets and still thought it was worth it.
