Mark Hopkins Hotel Central Geographically, Historically

When we took our entire headquarters to San Francisco, we wanted to do it in such a way as to pay highest and best tribute to the very best in family fun that can be had in the town, but naturally, we had to do it in such a way as to maintain sensitivity to our budget. We did all that with our trip to the Intercontinental at One Nob Hill, but we did so much more at that.

If you’re looking for a good, family-friendly place to visit with your kids, we can recommend little more than the Intercontinental. The hotel is by no means the cheapest in town, but for the dollar to value ratio, you’d be hard pressed to find something better.

The Intercontinental is centrally located, and not just centrally, but their actually actual address is, un all actuality “One Nob Hill, San Francisco.” Not the number one, but the word one. That’s a huge testament to how ridiculously central they are, especially when you consider than Nob Hill (as funny as the name may sound) is one of only a small handful of primary city hotspots.

If you want a hundred restaurants of as many varieties, that many night clubs again, or more tourist and historical attractions than you could hope to see in a week, this place is fit to find them all, because it’s within walking distance of that many and more.

If you want to go out farther than that (and I wouldn’t blame you because you should want to, there’s great stuff beyond the walk) you’re smack in the dab of four trolley lines. Does that scream “central” or what? Where could you possibly want to go that ain’t covered by one of these four trolley lines (and don’t say “home” because I know you aren’t ready to go back there just yet.)

As if that isn’t enough reason to stay at the Mark Hopkins International (aside from the obvious fact that it’s got an Irishman’s name behind it) the hotel itself has its own rich history in the local cityscape. It’s got fine dining, fun shopping, WiFi throughout all the services and amenities you could want.

The Intercontinental Mark Hopkins Hotel is located at One Nob Hill, San Francisco; for reservations call 1-800-980-6429 or visit them online at their website. They have rooms, suites, are as family friendly as any place we’ve ever stayed, and are priced very affordably, especially in consideration of where they are, what they offer, and how nice your stay will be; and that’s a guarantee. Well, I mean, um, we don’t actually guarantee the hotel, we have no connection to them aside from the fact that we didn’t stay there, but we guarantee our best intentions in giving them a fair, honest (and in this case a very favorable) review.

Above – Here’s a publicity shot from the inside of the San Francisco Mark Hopkins Intercontinental. You’ll notice we aren’t in any of these pictures, but it’s only because, despite our best efforts and planning, something got missed along the way and we weren’t ultimately welcomed on-sight. Not for lunch, not for dinner, not to take our pictures and certainly not for our scheduled stay… come on, people, the NCAA tournament was in town, don’t you know anything?
