My biggest gripe with bowling alleys is the whole League thing. Seems like every time I want to bowl, there they are just hogging the entire place. Not so at Wahooz.
There are no leagues, so lanes are open pretty much all the time, and they offer a full bar and meal menu to boot, so there’s that.
My favorite part was how we could program the tally computer to automatically put the bumpers up for the kiddies. I could still bowl hard, but they got to have fun too.
And of course they have the slidey-ramp for kids to point and let gravity do the work. But I say, if you’re not swinging it, kid, pick the heaviest ball you can find!
The couches are plush, the lanes are true, and the decor is pleasant… but if you want to ratchet it up a notch, in addition to the 16-standard lanes is The Lounge.
If you don’t mind paying a small premium, there are eight more lanes in there just a bit to the starboard side. It’s quieter, the couches are all leather, and the decor is simply awesome.
Run all over town looking for a cut-rate lane if you like, bu these are just as cheap, and far more available.
