If you own a television, you surely must know about The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. It’s a place where liberals can go to feel good about being a liberal, though they do hold their own saviors’ feets to the fire from time to time.
It claims to be a neutral party, but the truth is anything but. Sure, they take shots at the occaisonal liberal, but the overwhelming majority of jokes is had at the expense of conservatives.
They hound Boehner, Cantor, Bachmann and too many more true conservatives to even mention. At least we’ll let those sleeping dogs lie.
Well now there’s a counterpart, and it’s a serious underdog. SatireWorld.com runs nonstop, wall-to-wall conservative satire, and they’re funny, and they regularly come under attack.
“Yeah, we get hit with a virus about once a month,” said Bargis Tryhol, editor in cheif of SatireWorld.com. “We just do our best to purge it out and go back to business as usual, no matter what the liberals think.”
But some people aren’t laughing. Headlines about Michelle Obama’s hind quarters don’t go over too well with the liberal masses, neither do ones about the masses taxes having increased, which is a matter of some debate.
“We can’t please everyone,” said Tryhol, “But we do our best to tell the truth always, and I think that resonates with a lot of people.”
